CHITTAGONG: All preparations have been taken for smooth and peaceful celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest festival of Muslims, in Chittagong, reports BSS. On the Eid day, a total of 2,500 congregations will be held in the port city and its adjacent districts amid tight security measures.
Local administration, Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) and Chittagong central Eid Jamaat Committee (CCEJC) sources said all preparations to construct and decorate congregation venues has started in the port city under the supervision of Chittagong district administration, Metropolitan as well as district police and upazila administration for peaceful celebration of the festival with due solemnity and fervour.
The main Eid congregation will be held at MA Aziz stadium at 8 am wherePrincipal of Baitus Sharaf Madrasha Moulana Saiyed Abu Noman will conduct the prayers.
Meanwhile, the CCC will arrange a total of 157 Eid congregations on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. However, two grand Eid congregations under the supervision of CCC will be held at Jamiatul Falah Complex Mosque at 8 am and 8:30 am respectively. District administration sources said the national flag will be hoisted atop all government and private buildings.
