Bangladesh film industry lost the iconic actor Humayun Faridi on February 13, 2012, who will forever be remembered for his immense contributions to the field of entertainment and for his legendary performances. However, a few days prior to his death, the veteran actor acted in his last film titled ‘Ek Jobaner Jamidar Herey Gelen Eybar’, directed by Uttam Akash. The shooting of the film began on September 26, 2009. Then after the death of Humayun Faridi and the unwillingness of the producer to continue on with the project, the future of the film was put in jeopardy. But after that, the director took it upon himself to ensure the completion of the film. Now, on the completion of the shooting of Humayun Faridi’s final film, it is going to be submitted to the censor board for approval next week. The plot of the film revolves around an ethical ‘zamindar’, who gets defeated due to his ethics. Humayun Faridi played the role of the ‘zamindar’, while Amin Khan, Sylvie, Prabir Mitra, Nasrin and Kabila acted in different roles. Director Uttam Akash said about the film, “The release of the film, despite completing the shooting, took time due to several complications. As soon as the approval is received from the censor board, the film will then be released."
