A decision to resolve an issue related to the demarcation of two kilometres of the border to fully implement the Land Boundary Agreement-1974 between Bangladesh and India and its additional protocol signed in 2011 will be made in Bangladesh’s favour during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s April 7-10 Delhi visit, hope officials concerned. The deadline set by the both governments for the implementation of the LBA has passed on June 30, 2016. The implementation of the LBA and its protocol involving transfer of 162 enclaves (111 in Bangladesh and 52 in India) and adversely possessed land and border demarcation of 6.5 kilometre will be complete between midnight July 31, 2015 and June 30, 2016, according to the letters on modalities for…
