Promotion for 400 soon
At least 400 bureaucrats are soon going to be promoted to the post of additional secretary, from the post of joint secretary (JS); deputy secretary (DS), from joint secretary; and senior assistant secretary, from deputy secretary; in civil bureaucracy. These officials had not been promoted during the recent promotion-spree of bureaucrats. Of them, over 90 joint secretaries are likely to be promoted to the rank of additional secretary, within a week, said sources in public administration. The rest will get their promotion by the end of this month, they added. The sources revealed that over 90 joint secretaries are likely to be promoted to the post of additional secretary, while 150 deputy secretaries will be promoted to the post of joint secretary.…
