BGB to recruit ex-army men
For the first time in the history of the country’s paramilitary force, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), retired army officials up to the ranks of Captain and Major, are going to be appointed on a contractual basis for two years to fill up a number of vacant posts of field-level officials soon, top officials in the BGB and the Home Ministry said. The Armed Forces Division (AFD) and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave their consent for appointing the retired officers, who are physically fit and are in between 35 and 45, the sources added. At least, 250 retired officers are likely to be appointed for the paramilitary force.
