A day after the resignation of Dr Atiur Rahman as Bangladesh Bank Governor and removal of two Deputy Governors over the recent cyber heist, Finance Minister AMA Muhith yesterday hinted that a “thorough recasting” was needed at the central bank management, as it was not in a “healthy condition”. The finance minister said, “Various systems of Bangladesh Bank require serious reforms, as they are not in a healthy condition.” Muhith was talking to reporters at the secretariat yesterday.
