China puts forth EOI
China has put forth an expression of interest (EOI) to invest in the four-lane Dhaka-Chittagong Expressway Project to improve connectivity between the capital and the port city. The China Railway International Group (CRIG) on December 12 expressed the interest in executing the project with Chinese government funding (on G to G basis) to the Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, Obaidul Quder. Ministry officials said CRIG is eager to sign the contract as soon as possible.
