Chetia handed over to India
In a landmark move, the government yesterday handed over Anup Chetia, general secretary of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), to the Indian authorities amid secrecy. Anup, along with his two associates - Laxmi Prasad Goswami, alias Shakti Prasad, and Babul Sharma - were handed over through the Benapole-Petrapole border point at about 8.15am yesterday.
