2nd cop killed in two weeks

Only 13 days after the murder of an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police at Gabtoli checkpoint in the capital, unidentified assailants stabbed to death a constable and injured another at suburban Ashulia check-post yesterday. The deceased was identified as Mukul Hossain and the injured as Nur-e-Alam of industrial police’s Sripur camp. Earlier, ASI Ibrahim Mollah was stabbed to death by a youth at Gabtoli checkpoint when a police team was searching the young man's bag at night on October 22.
