Tk 289cr NU revised budget approved
The Senate of the National University approved revised budget of Tk. 289 crore 40 lakh and 20,000 for the year 2016-2017 and adopted a revenue budget of Tk. 274 crore 52 lakh 93,000 and development budget of Tk 148 crore 25 lakh for the FY 2017-2018, says a press release.
Shahiduzzaman Sarkar MP, Begum Happy Boral MP, Dhirendra Debnath Sambhu MP, Motahar Hossain MP, Dr Sharif Enamul Kabir, Dr Khandokar Bazlul Hoque, Dr Muhammad Samad, Prof Mahbubur Rahman, Principal Kazi Faruq Ahmed, Divisional Commissioner (Mymensing), Helaluddin Ahmed (Divisional Commissioner Dhaka), Muhiuddin Khan (Additional Secretary), Dr Wahiduzzaman, Prof. Dr Anower Hossain, Chairman (Sylhet Educational Board). Prof Dr Hafiz Md. Hasan Babu, Prof Dr Moshiur Rahman, and Prof. Noman Ur Rashid attended the session.
RU dorms will remain closed from today
All dormitories of the Rajshahi University (RU) will be closed form today on the occasions of holy Ramadan, Lailatul Qadar, and Eid-ul-Fitr.
Prof Bipul Kumar Biswas, convener of RU Provost Council, a union of all halls provost confirmed the news.
He said the decision has made from a meeting of the council on Tuesday evening.
Students have been also asked to leave their halls today by 2pm. The dormitories will reopen on June 30 at 9am.
Earlier all classes of the university were closed on the same occasions while
administrative activities.
