Benapole: A Jessore court put 11 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami on one day remand in a sabotage case, reports UNB. Police produced them before the court and sought three days’ remand. The court passed the order after the hearing on Saturday. Earlier on July 27, police in a drive arrested eleven leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami from a mosque in Narendrapur Post Office area in Sadar upazila along with Jihadi books, leaflets and banners. The arrestees were identified as Abdul Malek, Jamaat ameer of Kochua union unit, its secretary Tariqul Islam and nine other activists. Later a case was filed in this connection.
