Myanmar has planned to implement eco-tourism project in Bago Yoma forest in the central part in a bid to boost tourism of the country, reports Xinhua.
The project will be carried out by the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, official media reported yesterday.
The two ministries have planned to open the Bago Yoma Eco-Resort for betterconservation of the nature at the end of July.
Implementation of eco-tourism can create better job opportunities for thelocal people, officials said.
The ministries also plan to implement cultural tourism and community-based tourism in Yangon, Pyay, Tayaykhittayar and Taungoo regions.
At present, Myanmar has altogether implemented eco-tourism in 10 regions andstates including Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi, Kachin, Chin, Mon and Shan.
