Freedom fighter shot dead in Khulna

KHUNLA: A freedom fighter was shot to death by miscreants at Rayer Mahal in the city on Wednesday night, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Shahadat Hossain Mollah, 62, also a local Awami league leader and a resident of Rayer Mahal area of the city.
Deputy Additional Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Monira Sultana said 2-3 miscreants came on a motorbike and opened fire at him in front of his shop in the area around 8:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot and four others injured.
Two of the critically injured were sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital, the police official added.
