Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan stands on another glorious feat after his 114 runs knock won the match against New Zealand and put Bangladesh in the first ever semifinal of ICC event.

In the semifinal match what would be a historical feat for Bangladesh, Shakib could reach a landmark of 5000 runs and 200 wickets as the fifth all-rounder of the world.
Shakib currently has 4968 runs, second only to his illustrious colleague Tamim Iqbal who has 5673 runs under his belt. Shakib however has already reached the landmark of 200 wickets when he got Hashim Amla and Faf Du Plessis in South Africa’s tour to Bangladesh in 2015.
Currently he has 224 wickets, and also second in the chart after Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza who has 230 wickets.
So he needs only 32 runs to acquire the glorious double, a feat that has achieved by four players so far—Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya (13430 runs, 323 wickets in 445 matches), Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi (8064 runs, 395 wickets in 398 matches, South Africa’s Jacques Kallis (11579 runs, 273 wickets in 328 matches), Pakistan’s Abdur Razzak (5080 runs, 269 wickets in 265 matches).
Shakib currently has 4968 runs, 224 wickets in 176 matches. The premier all-rounder of Bangladesh however was in patchy form before he smashed a brilliant century to help Bangladesh win the match against New Zealand from a precarious situation.
Shakib however always sees this achievement as the reflection of his good performance what he wants to do always.
“If you play positive cricket and show good performance, this type of feat would be achieved. As long as I can perform for my team and win the matches, I will be happy regardless of this kind of achievement,” Shakib said some days ago.
