SAVAR: Police detained a Bangladesh Natioalist Party (BNP) activist from Gouripur Bottola area in Ashulia union of Savar upazila, on the outskirts of the capital, on Monday morning for posting a distorted photo of Prime Minister on Facebook, reports UNB.
The detainee was identified as Hasan Ali, 40, hailing from the area.
Mohsinul Qadir, officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station, said that on information of local people law enforcers detained Hasan from the area in the morning. A case will be filed against him under ICT Act, added the OC.
