Housing and Public Works Minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain on Monday told Parliament that no plot was allocated to any MP of the current parliament under the National Housing Authority, reports UNB.
He, however, said the allocation of plots against 19 members of parliament is underway in Jhilmil Housing Project under Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha (Rajuk).
The minister said this replying to a tabled starred question from Jatiya Party MP Nurul Islam Milon (Comilla-8).
“Under the National Housing Authority, plots were allocated against 5,173 people across the country. But, no plot was allocated against any MP of the present parliament,” Mosharraf said. He said plots were allocated against 1134 people under different housing projects of Rajuk. But Rajuk has no statistics over how many MP did not get its plots.
However, 155 plots and 83 plots were earlier allocated against MPs in Purbachal New Project and the Extended Uttara 3rd Phase Residential Project under Rajuk.
