Magura: At least 20 people were injured and 10 others arrested over a clash between two rival groups of ruling Awami League at Jagadal village in Sadar upazila on Saturday, reports UNB. Officer-in-charge of Magura Police Station Ilias Hossain said two groups led by local Awami League leaders Abul Kalam Azad and his rival Motiar Rahman clashed with each other over establishing supremacy in the area. "The supporters of the feuding groups chased each other and vandalised and looted several houses, leaving at least 20 people of both groups injured," he said. A case was filed over the matter and police, meanwhile, held 10 people in this connection, he added. The injured were admitted to Magura Sadar Hospital, the OC said.
