Life-term convict arrested at Savar

KHULNA: DB Police of Khulna Metropolitan Police yesterday arrested a convict, who was awarded with life-term imprisonment, from Savar, outskirt of the capital, reports BSS.
The arrested was identified as Shariful Islam Shamim, a residence of Sabuz Sangha Maidan area at Pabla under Daulatpur police station in Khulna city, police said. He has been remained absconding since June, 1992, after killing two people of Daulatpur area. 
KMP sources said a special team of DB led by Sub-Inspectors Badruzzaman and
Mohammad Ali conducted a drive in Savar area and arrested Shamim yesterday morning. SI Badruzzaman said two outlawed were killed in June, 1992 during a fierce clash between Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) and Biploby Communist Party (BCP) in Duttapara area under Daulatpur police station in the city.
