Youth held for ‘raping’ minor girl in capital

Police arrested a young man from Pallabi area of the capital on Thursday night on charge of violating a minor girl, reports UNB. Police said the arrestee, Md Rasel, 32, reportedly raped one of his distant sisters-in-law at his house at Block-D of Mirpur Section-12 around 10am on June 4. The father of the victim, aged around 12, filed a case against Rasel with Pallabi Police Station on the same day. Acting on a tip-off, a team of police arrested the alleged rapist from the Block-D area of Mirpur around 11pm, said officer-in-charge of the police station Dadan Fakir.
