3,000 yaba tablets seized at airport

Customs officials yesterday seized 3,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets worth about Taka 10 lakh from the rectum of a passenger at Shahjalal International Airport, reports UNB.

Customs preventive team personnel arrested one Rafiqul Islam, 36, of Moheshkhali in Cox's Bazar from the airport area around 12.30pm yesterday soon after he reached Shahjalal International Airport from Cox's Bazar by a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said a customs official.
Four packets containing the yaba tablets were brought out from his rectum, he also said.
