3 consignments of glass seized

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) yesterday impounded three consignments of glass for importing under false declaration in Chittagong port.

The importer tried to evade revenue Tk40 lakh under false declaration 
The importer imported ‘Reflective Mirror’ from China but gave declaration of Clock & Watch Glass and Dark Blue Glass.  
The three Dhaka based companies named MRS B. Baria Glass House, PARM Enterprise; Asha Trade International imported the glass, said CIID sources.
C&F Company Hossain & Co submitted bill of entry for MRS B. Baria Glass House, PARM Enterprise on April 19 and April 20 respectively, said CIID sources.  They tried to release goods from the port declaring Clock & Watch Glass and Dark Blue Glass instead of Reflective Mirror.
