Two arrested with arms in Barguna

Police on Wednesday held two people along with two local arms from a bKash shop in Sluiz Bazar area of Pochakoralia union in Taltoli upazila in the district, reports UNB. Officer-in-charge of Taltoli Police Station Kamlesh Chandra Haldar said they detained two local people - Jahirul Haque, 26, and Samsul Haque Gazi, 28, - from a bKash shop while they were preparing to attack Saidur Rahman Talukdar of Barpara village of Pochakoralia union in the afternoon. Saidur, earlier on May 8, sent Tk 15,000 through a bKash agent number registered with Jahirul’s shop while he embezzled the money and declined to receive it, the OC said quoting the locals. Later, Jahirul along with his accomplices tried to attack Saidur equipped with local arms as he demanded the money, the police official said.
