2 killed in road accident

COMILLA: Two persons were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a pick-up van on Comilla-Brahmanbaria highway in Jaforganj area under Debidwar upazila of the district on Wednesday night, reports BSS. The identities of the victims could not be known immediately, police said.Police sources said the accident occurred around 11.30pm in the area when a Comilla-bound truck collided head-on with Brahmanbaria-bound pick-up van, leaving two dead on the spot.On information, police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent those to Comilla Medical College and Hospital for autopsy, police said. A case was filed in this connection, police added.
