Delivery of goods at Chittagong port suspended for seven hours due to disruption of server (ASYCUDA software of NBR) at Chittagong Customs House from 12:30am to 7am yesterday.
As a result, a long trail back of truck and covered vans were created at Chittagong port’s inside and outside. The Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has alleged that the delivery process of goods is being interrupted.
The CPA is depended on ASYCUDA software of NBR to deliver containers quickly from port if the server does not work properly the delivery process is being halted.
Zafar Alam, member (Administration and Planning) of CPA said, “CPA’s activities largely depend on assessment of customs uninterrupted performance of ASYCUDA software of NBR. From 12:30am to 7:00am the ASYCUDA was out of order.”
“It is regular phenomenon that causes impact on delivery and reduces port less performance.
Huge chassis delivery trucks were found waiting inside port till this morning,” said Zafar Alam.
