Everyone need to contribute
against New Zealand: Tamim

Bangladesh have no option in hand but to win the third and last group phase fixture against New Zealand to revive their hopes what they have left to go into the semifinals of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.

The Tigers shared the spoils with top notch Australia following their shocking drubbing to the hosts England in the curtain raiser of the eight-nation tournament. So, the next match turned to be a break or make match for them.
With one point in kitty Bangladesh left London for Cardiff by bus following a five-hour-long journey. Even thought they were needed three hours to reach at Cardiff but they had needed two more hours owing to tailback.
Bangladesh will get two full-fledged days before getting into their do or die match against the Kiwis. They held a practice session at Cardiff, wherein Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal spoke to media.
Tamim said that they are focusing only on their next encounter against New Zealand.
“We’re not thinking about semi-final berths. We are just thinking about the match against New Zealand,” said Tamim Iqbal, who is now in purple patch of form.  “We need to win the match. And we are confident that we could win it against the New Zealanders,” Tamim told reporters. In one-day, Bangladesh have a good record track against New Zealand after Zimbabwe. Last time they thrashed the Kiwis in the concluded tri-nation series in Ireland, which will boost them morally.
“Our preparation is good and we are still morally high. Hope everyone can contribute in team's victory against New Zealand,” the left-handed batsman, who smashed 123 against England, 95 against Australia following warm-up’s 102 against Pakistan, said.
“We’ve beaten them recently. There is no reason to be successful in doing that again,” the southpaw also said.
Expressing his regret not to convert his 95 to hundred against Australia in the last match at The Oval, the 28-year-old said that he will try his best to convert it to century if he gets another chance to make century.  “Obviously I’m disappointed to get out on 95. I have got out in that score for quite some times,” he said, added “I need to be careful. Hopefully I will convert it to century should if I get another century.”
