Islami Shasantantra Chhatra Andolan (ISCA) leaders in Sylhet have threatened to besiege the Supreme Court (SC) if the statue of Greek goddess Themis which was reinstalled in front of the SC annex building is not moved within June 13, reports UNB. The threat was issued at a protest rally, arranged by Sylhet city and district units of ISCA at Bandarbazar in the city after Juma prayers yesterday.
ISCA leaders and activists also brought out a protest procession that ended at the Court Point after parading different city roads.
The organisation alleged that the authorities concerned cheated Muslims through reinstalling the sculpture of the Lady Justice in front of the SC annex building after removing it from the SC premises.
