Nasir all-round show outguns Abahani in DPL

Nasir Hossain yet another starred for Gazi Group Cricketers as his all-round performance steered them to roll out Abahani Limited by six wickets in the crucial fourth round game of the Super League of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) yesterday.
At BKSP-3, Gazi Cricketers superseded Abahani to regain the top spot of the points table by virtue of the victory along with buoyed up their high hopes of winning the DPL crown.
Mehedi Maruf smashed century as Prime Doleshwar Cricket Club trumped Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by five wickets at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah.

Skipper Nasir Hossain opted to field first to use his bowling battery on BKSP batting deck. Nasir Hossain ripped through Abahani’s lower-order batsmen to half Abahani’s progress. Later Nasir was name player of the match for his dexterity with bat and ball.

Opted to bat, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club compiled 242 for seven thanks to half centuries from Tanvir Haider (58) and Elias Sunny (57). After losing five wickets for 100, Tanvir Haider hit a helpful 104 runs with Elias Sunny for the sixth wicket stand that crossed the 200-run mark.
