Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mufazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya yesterday said the government would give all-out cooperation to the cyclone affected people, reports BSS. "The government stands beside the cyclone affected people and would give all-out cooperation to them," he said while visiting Navy Hospital in Chittagong to see injured fishermen who were rescued from the Bay of Bengal after the cyclone 'Mora'.
Secretary of the Ministry Md Shah Kamal and Chittagong Regional Commander of Bangladesh Navy Rear Admiral Abu Ashraful Haque, among others, were present during the minister’s visit. Maya gave Taka 10,000 each to four injured fishermen, said an official release in Chittagong.
He said Chittagong and Cox's Bazar districts were affected most by the cyclone 'Mora' which lashed the coastal areas on Tuesday morning. Around 20,000 houses were damaged during the cyclone, Maya said.  He gave assurance of giving all-out cooperation to rebuild the houses.
