Methopath set to start journey with ‘Atopor Madho’

‘Methopath’, a newly-formed theatre troupe, is going to start its journey by staging its maiden play ‘Atopor Madho’. The inaugural show of the play will be staged on June 2 at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital.  
The play ‘Atopor Madho’ consists of two characters who will portray all the eight roles in the play. Inspired by the Rabindra literature, the play has been scripted and directed by Alok Basu. The cast of the play includes Shamima Akter Mukta and Sharmin Sanchita Khanom.
Shamima Akter Mukta said that the veteran artistes and theatre personalities will encourage the play and troupe on the opening day. Noted theatre personality Ferdousi Majumder will attend the inaugural show as the chief guest, while thespian Mamunur Rashid and Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation secretary general Akhtaruzzaman will be present as special guests.
