RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Commissioner Shafiqul Islam said all possible measures have already been taken to ensure overall security during the holy month of Ramadan, reports BSS.
“RMP is determined to bring those who will be found guilty of violating any
law in Ramadan to book,” he said.
The commissioner said while addressing a meeting with leaders of various business organizations and consumers rights protection body here yesterday as the chief guest.
RMP hosted the meeting at its conference hall to mark the holy month of Ramadan.
RMP Additional Commissioner Sarder Tamij Uddin and Deputy Commissioners Tanveer Haider Chowdhury and Amir Jafar and President of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Md Muniruzzaman also spoke.
RMP Commissioner Shafiqul Islam voiced a note of warning of taking stern actions against the traders who would sell the essential commodities at illegally hiked prices during the holy month.
