KHULNA: Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) has taken a good number of steps to ensure security and keep vehicular movement smooth during the holy month of Ramadan, reports BSS. KMP Commissioner Nibash Chandra Majhi said this on Saturday while
addressing a view exchange meeting over traffic movement and security during Ramadan. The commissioner said at least 2,000 police personnel, including plain-clothes police, will be deployed in the city. A total of 88 close circuit cameras (CCTVs) and 21 check posts have been set up in the city, he said, adding that no illegal parking would be allowed during the Ramadan.
Police vigilance will be enhanced at important markets, banks and stations, added the commissioner. Businessmen have been requested to take police assistance while carrying money from one place to another with a view to preventing any toward incident.
