SYLHET: Two people died in electrocution in Goainghat upazila of the district yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Mizanur Rahman, 14, and his grandfather Fakruddin, 70. Both were the residents of Turukbhagh village under the upazila. Officer-in-Charge of Goainghat police station Delowar Hossain said the fatal incident took place yesterday morning when Mizanur Rahman was catching fish in a water body of Turukbagh village. During the fishing, he came to contact with a live electric wire and got electrocuted. Fakruddin was also electrocuted as he went to save Mizanur. They died on the spot.
