A two-day long Environment Fair (EF) started yesterday at BAWA School field of Dampara in Chittagong. Different private and government organisations have participated in the fair in 12 stalls with the different types of environment friendly products. The fair is arranged by Department of Environment (DoE) of Chittagong Metropolitan. Azadur Rahman Mallik, director of DoE Chittagong Metropolitan along with Masud Karim, director of DoE of Chittagong Division, Sangjucta Das Gupta, Assistant Directo and officials of DoE inaugurated the fair yesterday. A NGO Ghashful participated with their environment friendly Bio-gas plant and Improve stoves. “We have installed total of 308 bio-gas plants and many improve stoves in the different areas of the country.
The stoves do not crate smokes which pollutes environment on the other hand the bios gas plants also environment friendly. We received order of three bios-gas plant in the fair,” said Mohammed Salim, Manager of Gashful.
