Man held for offering bribe

Magura: Police arrested a man from the Deputy Commissioner’s office for allegedly offering bribe to DC Md Atiqur Rahman on Thursday night ahead of a test for recruiting some staff for the office, reports UNB.
Towhidur Rahman, hailing from Kuranir Char village in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur district, entered the DC office around 8 pm and offered Tk 5 lakh for recruiting Shihab Uddin, a candidate of the recruitment test, said officer in-charge.Police recovered the money searching his body and seized three mobile phone sets and admit card of the candidate. A case was filed.
