A case was filed against a presidium member of Jatiya Party (JP) with Jakiganj Police Station under the ICT Act, reports UNB. MP of Sylhet-5 Selim Uddin, also central joint secretary general and president of district JP, filed the case against party presidium member Taj Rahman under 57(1) of ICT Act on Monday, Syed Imroz Tarek, sub-inspector of the police station, said on Thursday. Tarek, also the IO of the case, said MP Selim said in the case that Taj degraded Selim by publishing fake and defamatory information about him in newspaper and posting those in social media.
