BNP leader shot dead in Khulna

A local BNP leader was shot dead by miscreants at Damodar in Phultala upazila in Khulna yesterday night, reports UNB. The deceased is Alauddin Mihtu, 45, organising secretary of district BNP. Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Phultala Police Station Hawlader Sanwar Hossain Masum said a gang of five miscreants in two motorcycles swooped on Mithu at his business establishment, Mithu Enterprise, in front of his house around 10pm. They opened fire on the BNP leader, leaving him dead on the spot, he said. The reason behind the killing could not be known.
