CHITTAGONG: The passing out parade of direct entry officer 2017/A batch of Bangladesh Navy was held on the Bangladesh Naval Academy premises in Chittagong on Wednesday, reports UNB.
Commander of Chittagong Naval Area Rear Admiral M Abu Ashraf was present at the ceremony as the chief guest. He reviewed the parade and took salute of the impressive march past.
Through this parade, 15 direct entry officers of 2017/A batch graduated after completing their six-month training and were decorated with their rank badges, said an ISPR release.
Direct Entry Officer Sumaiya Afreen was adjudged as the Best Direct Entry Officer of the course and awarded with ‘Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Ruhul Amin Gold Medal. Higher dignitaries, senior military and civilian officers, parents and guardians of the passing out batch were present during the parade.
