400 RMG workers fall sick

GAZIPUR: At least 400 employees of several garment factories fell sick due to scorching heat at Konabari and Kashimpur in the city on Thursday, reports UNB.
Police said around 400 employees of eight garment factories in Kashimpur and Konabari areas fell sick due to the hot weather in the morning.
The authorities concerned of the factories took them to different hospitals and clinics in the area.
Meanwhile, the garment authorities have shut down the factories for yesterday following the incident.
Police were deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident.
