Chairman of the Bangladesh Rural Electricity Board (BREB) Major General Moinuddin Ahmed has appointed 80 officials to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the holy month of Ramadan, says a press release.
He made the announcement through a video conference held at the Brig Gen Sabihuddin Ahmed Hall at REB’s head office in the capital on Tuesday.
“We are witnessing frequent load shedding because REB receives less than the required power demand” he said.
He told the REB officials to balance load shedding so that it remains within the tolerance level of the consumers.
“We have given electricity connection to 1 crore 84 lakh subscribers. Then why should we not be able to supply electricity to them”, he questioned.
