A three-day National Science and Technology Fair began at Gaibandha Govt. Boys’ High School on Tuesday amid much enthusiasm to students, teachers and visitors, reports BSS.
The district administration has arranged the fair with the theme ‘Science and Technology for Developed Future’ marking the National Science and Technology Week at the directive of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The objectives of the fair are to widely spread a message about the significance of scientific applications in the daily life of people and display all activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science.To give an opportunity to science-minded citizens in the country and popularize science and technology among them are other objectives of the fair.A discussion meeting was also held in the hall room of the school in the afternoon with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Goutam Chandra Pal in the chair.Whip of the Jatiya Sangad Mahabub Ara Begum Gini attended the function as the chief guest. Police Super M. Masrukur Rahman Khaled and mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Advocate Shah Masud Jahangir Kabir Milon were present in the event as the special guests.
Whip Mahabub Ara Begum said this fair would undoubtedly contribute utmost to create an enlightened nation.In this context, she urged all to patronize mini scientists so that they could undertake innovative projects and research properly to give something to the nation for development.
