Cricket world like others are worried over the security after the terror attack in Manchester Arena in England on Monday ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy.
The 8-nation showpiece event is scheduled to kickstart at three different grounds in England and Wales since June 1. The bulk of the teams meanwhile reached in England to play the extravaganza event in United Kingdom (UK).
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) keeps the cautious look over the security and the emerged situation of the country. But they have full faith in International Cricket Council (ICC) and the tournament’s hosts.
Expressing their worriedness over the terror attack in Manchester, BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that they are keeping their vigilance over the situation.
“Of course, we are worried over the attack. It’s a matter of worriedness,” said Nizamuddin.
“But we have full faith in International Cricket Council (ICC) and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). I believe the security they have planned to give the teams they will increase more security measures after the attack,” Chowdhury told The Independent.
“We keep it in our watch. We are always in touch with ECB and our teams,” he added.
The attack left 100 people dead at an Adriana Grande concert in Manchester.
