A 6-member delegation headed by Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan left Dhaka for Kolkata on Monday night to attend a summit there, reports UNB.
The team will attend "Inland Water Transport and Coastal Shipping Summit" jointly organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce and Inland Water Transport of India, said an official release.
Chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) Commodore M Mozammel Haque, Chief Engineer and Ship Surveyor of Department of Shipping A. K. M. Fakhrul Islam, Director (traffic) of BIWTA Md Abu Zafar Howlader and Deputy Director of BIWTA Md Saiful Islam are among the delegation members.
The Minister is expected to return home on May 26.
