Five get life term for killing in Natore

NATORE: A court here yesterday sentenced five persons to suffer life term imprisonment for killing a farmer at Damkuri village under Singra upaila here four years back, reports BSS. The court also fined them Tk 5,000 each, in default, to suffer one more year in jail. District and Session Judge M rejaul karim pronounced the judgment in his crowded courtroom. According to the court sources, the convicted persons are- Angur Mollah, 30, and Faruk Hossain, 28, of Kaliganj village, Mithu, 40, and Sohagh, 35, residents of Anandanagar-KarChamaria village under Singra upazila and Noyan, 28, of Chaksutrapur in Bogra district. The prosecution story, in brief, is that the convicts killed farmer Lokman Ali on April 7, 2013 over previous enmity.
