RANGPUR: Bangladesh has become a role model in prompt development following smooth implementation of the Prime Minister's 10 special initiatives quickly improving life standard of the common people. The opinion came at a function styled 'New Horizon in Development' in thebranding publicity 'Bahirangon Anusthan (outdoor programme)' on "Sheikh Hasina's Special Initiatives" held at Shilpokola Academy auditorium in Nilphamari on Saturday.
The Thakurgaon Kendra of Bangladesh Betar organised the outdoor publicity programme to inform the common people about the Prime Minister's 10 special development initiatives, successes achieved so far and future development plans. Nilphamari Zila Parishad Chairman Joynal Abedin attended the function as the chief guest with Thakurgaon Regional Director of Bangladesh Betar Mohammad Selim in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Nilphamari AJM Ershad Ahsan Habib, Additional Police Super ABM Atikur Rahman, General Secretary of Nilphamari District Sports Association Shamima Rahman and Senior Journalist Tahmin Haque Boby addressed as special guests.
In his welcome speech, Mohammad Selim narrated the Prime Minister's 10 special initiatives of 'Ektee Bari, Ektee Khamar' project, 'Asrayan Prokalpo', digital Bangladesh, education assistance, women empowerment, electricity for all, social safety, community clinic and mental health, investment development and environment protection. "Tremendous successes have been achieved so far in poverty alleviation,
rehabilitation of homeless people, digitisation, education, women empowerment, power generation, health, social safety-net, investments, improving environment and other sectors," he said. The chief guest lauded the epoch-making successes achieved by the government the implementation of the Vision 2021, Charter of Changes and digitisation to continuously accelerate pace of development during the past eight years.
