Youth held for defaming PM in social media

SYLHET: Police arrested a young man from the city on Saturday night on charge of posting derogatory remarks on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on social media site Facebook, reports UNB.
Officer-in-charge (investigation) Kamal Hossain of Bishwanath Police Station said they arrested Faizul Islam, son of late Makhdus Ali, a resident of Karikona village in Bishwanath upazila.
On Friday night, Dabir Miah, president of Daulatpur Union Parishid unit of Jubo League in the upazila, filed the case against Faizul under section-57 of the ICT act for posting derogatory remarks over the Prime Minister on the popular social media platform Facebook.
