DU senate polls today

The teacher representative election of Dhaka University (DU) Senate will be held at Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the campus today.

Two panels --- pro-AL blue panel and BNP-Jamat backed white panel will vie for senate post where around 1600 voters will cast their votes.
Election commissioner, also university treasurer Prof Kamal Uddin said all the preparations have been taken and the election will begin at 9am and will continue till 1 pm.
Pro -AL- led blue panel has 34 candidates and its convener is Prof Nazma Shaheen while BNP-Jamaat backed white panel has 35 candidates and Prof Akhter Hossain Khan is the convener of the panel.
