Bangladesh boys team emerged unbeaten champions in the ITF Asian Under-12 Tennis Championship when they trounced Nepal by 3-0 sets in the final in Kathmandu yesterday.
However, both finalists have earned the right to play in the Asian final round to be held in Kazakhstan.
An in the girls group, Bangladesh finished fourth as they went down to Nepal by 0-3 sets. Sri Lanka and Nepal move from girls’ group in the Asian final round. Bangladesh also defeated Nepal in the group phase.
A total of twelve teams from five regions of Asia will take part in the final round.
The Bangladesh team will return home today at 3.15pm.
