BCL leader stabbed to death in Ctg

Unidentified assailants stabbed to death a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader at Hathazari upazila in Chittagong early yesterday (Thursday). The incident took place in front of his residence. The victim was identified as Md Lokman, 34, son of Monir Hossain of Fatepur of Hathazari upazila. He was general secretary of Fatepur Union Chattra league and incumbent union parishad member of ward no-8 of fatepur Union Parishad. “At around 2:30am a local union parishad member of Fatepur was brought to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) with stabbed injuries. However, the on-duty doctors declared him dead. Miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately
at his chest and abdomen,” said Jahirul Islam Bhuiyan, In-charge of CMCH police outpost.   “Lokman was attacjed while he was returning from a Mahfil. The unidentified miscreants attacked him around 200 yards of his home. Locals whisked him off to CMCH with critical condition where he was declared dead by duty doctors,” said Belal Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hathazari Police Station. However, no one was arrested over the incident so far.
