Yunnan delegation visits Bangladesh

May 2 to 9, a Yunnan delegation led by Li Xiuling, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, paid a working visit to Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, Li Xiuling exchanged views with local government and business leaders, discussing ways to deepen friendship and expand cooperative opportunities. He also took the opportunity to promote the 2017 South and Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair, as well as the 2017 China International Tourism Fair.

Bangladeshi Government and business leaders expressed their expectations for the 2017 South and Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair, and the 2017 China International Tourism Fair. They responded positively to Yunnan’s friendly and practical cooperative efforts, promising to organize government entities, business associations and companies to participate in the two events. Furthermore, the delegates vowed support for the construction of Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar Economic Corridor and the establishment of friendly relations between Yunnan and all relevant provinces in Bangladesh.

 It expected that the visit by Liu Xiuling and his delegation will help deepen cooperation between Bangladesh and Yunnan Province in the areas of agriculture, energy, tourism, pharmaceuticals, civil aviation, the training of skilled workers, and the construction of engineering and industrial parks.
