6 Comilla City Corporation councilors take oath

Six more councilors of Comilla City Corporation yesterday took oath of office at LGRD and Cooperatives ministry in the capital, reports BSS.
LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain administrated the oath of office to the newly elected councilors. Of them, four are in general seats and two in reserved seats for women, said an official release.
Local Government Division (LGD) Secretary Abdul Malek conducted the oath taking ceremony at the ministry office at 10 am.
Earlier, newly elected Comilla City Corporation Mayor Monirul Haq Sakku and other 29 councilors, including 22 in general seats and seven in reserved seats for women, took oath of their office on May 11.
